A lover of sunrises and sunsets, a pond dipper and long grass runner, Tirzah teaches Kindergarten and Grade 1 in rural Saskatchewan. She engages students daily in holistic outdoor learning, drawing on students' interests and following their lead. Collaborating with members of neighboring First Nation schools, her students engage in traditional knowledge and make authentic connections to place. Tirzah is a leader in outdoor education in her school division, hosting Professional Development opportunities for staff to observe first-hand what Forest School Blaine Lake looks like. Tirzah recently completed the Child and Nature Canada's Forest School Practitioner Course in September of 2022.
